GPX1000 Non-intrusive Oxygen Headspace Gas Analyser
The GASPOROX GPX1000 represents a new approach to headspace oxygen gas analysis – fast, accurate, non-intrusive and non-destructive.
GPX1000 allows quick and easy testing of Modified Atmosphere Packages (MAP) and other packages where headspace gas testing is needed. The result is presented immediately on screen, and logged internally.
The non-destructive measurement lets you return the samples to the production line with no waste. It also allows time studies on single packages.
Several types of packages are supported, including sealed trays, thermoforms, bags, flow wraps, and many others.
How it works
The sample is placed under the measurement head, which is adjusted so that there is no air between the sensor and the package. An infrared laser beam is reflected against a surface inside the package, and probes the gas inside. The laser light is completely eye safe.
GPX1000 can be operated in vertical mode to facilitate analysis of head spaces in bags – even with liquids.
The GPX1000 optical gas sensor is based on 25 years of development and refinement of industrial laser gas sensors. The sensor utilises Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS).
The laser sensor technology has been developed by GASPOROX and GASPOROX’s technology partner/supplier, and is used in many industrial settings, including the petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy industries.
